DESIGN SPECIFICATION
The Design Specification is the most crucial element of the Investigate phase of the Design Cycle

A good Design Specification should include information that you learned about the task/problem from your research.
It is a list of requirements that your design ideas must meet plus a list of constraints that you have. It is the check list that you need to use when you start to make your design ideas.
After your research you can develop a Design Specification.
DESIGN BRIEF, DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS & TEST DUE AT END OF PERIOD-by THURSDAY-COPY THIS FROM YOUR FIRST POST AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
 Design Brief

THIS IS AN EXAMPLE!!
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.  For my project I am going to create a Storybook/ Comic Strip that describes the Design Cycle in a very simple way.  I am going to make it so that a 6th grader can comprehend the Design Cycle without getting confused.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?  My assignment must be clear and simple to understand and under 2 minutes.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?  The limitations of this project is the time because 2 minutes is not long enough to be able to thoroughly explain the design cycle.
13. How will you "test" your project?  I will test my project by giving out surveys/ tests to the 6th graders and review how well their answer and responses are.
DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

  •    Simple for a 6th grader to understand
  •    Teach a 6th grader what the Design Cycle is
  •    6th graders will be able to identify steps of Design Cycle

  •    Will be less than 2 minutes long
  •    About 5 pages long on Storybook
  •    Not that distracting from the point
  •    Made by Comic Master program online
  •    Possible to transfer onto a pen drive
  •    Be able to use while offline
  •    Possible to save and copy
  •    Must be able to be created in given time
  •    Simple to base off another project
  •    Can not be too difficult to break
Test
I will give them a survey that has 10 questions about the design cycle.  I can test my product if it was successful or not by analyzing the students surveys.  I will be successful if they were able to answer 7 out of the 10 corrections on their survey.
